NDC Regional Chairman Pledges to Prioritize Agona Nyakrom Development with New District Status

Professor Richard Asiedu, Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), pledged strong developmental support for Agona Nyakrom at the campaign launch event for the party's Agona West parliamentary candidate, Mrs. Ernestina Ofori Dangbey, on October 20, 2024.

 Speaking as the special guest, Professor Asiedu expressed disappointment at what he described as Agona Nyakrom’s long-standing neglect, noting the area’s dire need for infrastructure upgrades and improved public services. He announced the NDC’s commitment to elevate Agona Nyakrom to a district status, a move anticipated to unlock additional resources and catalyze local development.

 Professor Asiedu also promised to fully operationalize the university constructed during a previous NDC administration, ensuring it serves the educational needs of the region. His assurances followed Mrs. Ofori Dangbey’s launch of policy-driven initiatives targeting local growth, job creation, and economic empowerment in Agona West.

 Professor Asiedu urged residents to support the NDC’s agenda for meaningful transformation, emphasizing that Agona Nyakrom’s development remains a top priority in the party’s plans for governance in 2025.
